Dahi Aloo Sabzi: Potatoes! Who doesn’t like them? Be it kids or adults, the sight of potatoes makes their mouth water. This sabzi which is prepared in minutes will be liked by the guests too.
Ingredients:
250 grams baby potatoes (baby potatoes)
One bowl of fresh curd
Finely chopped onions
Finely chopped tomatoes
Two teaspoons garam masala
Half teaspoon kasuri methi
Two teaspoons oil
Salt as per taste
Finely chopped coriander
One teaspoon mustard (for tempering)
One teaspoon ginger garlic paste
Method of making:
Boil potatoes: First of all, take baby potatoes. Put them in a cooker and boil till one or two whistles. Keep in mind, the potatoes should not get over cooked.
Fry potatoes: Heat oil in a pan. Fry the boiled potatoes till they turn golden.
Tadka: Tadka mustard seeds in the remaining oil. When the mustard seeds crackle, add chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste and fry till golden brown.
Fry the masala: After frying the onions, add tomatoes and all the ground spices and mix well. Fry the masala until it starts leaving oil.
Add curd: Now add beaten curd and mix well. Also, add kasuri methi and salt as per taste.
Add potatoes: Add fried potatoes and mix well. You can make the gravy as per your liking. If you want a thick gravy, then add half a cup of water and cook till it boils.
Add coriander: When the gravy boils well, add finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
Tips and Tricks:
The curd should be fresh, otherwise the vegetable will become sour.
Do not boil the potatoes too much, otherwise they may break while frying.
You can increase or decrease the spices as per your liking.
This vegetable is also good for travelling as it does not spoil quickly.
