Seviyan Recipe: It is the month of Ramadan and any festival is incomplete without sweets. If you are also fond of eating sweets, then this recipe is perfect for you. In India, vermicelli is made on the occasion of festivals, but it has special significance in Ramadan. So, today we make juicy vermicelli full of dry fruits and milk, which your guests will also like very much.
Ingredients for making vermicelli:
2 liters of milk
2 tablespoons butter
200 grams of vermicelli
1 bowl of cashews
1 bowl of almonds
Raisins (as per your choice)
1 bowl of sugar
5 cardamoms
A pinch of saffron
Method of making vermicelli:
First of all, cook the milk on medium flame till it reduces to half.
Put half a teaspoon of ghee in a pan and fry the vermicelli till it turns golden. Then take them out in a plate.
Put finely chopped dry fruits in the same pan and fry lightly.
Now add roasted vermicelli, dry fruits and sugar to the boiled milk and mix well.
Cook it on low flame for 10-15 minutes while stirring continuously. Make sure that the vermicelli does not stick to the bottom.
Finally, add saffron and cardamom powder and mix. You can keep the consistency of the vermicelli as per your choice.
Serve hot by adding roasted dry fruits on top.
