Ingredients for making Veg Biryani:

Two cups of boiled rice

Three cups of mixed vegetables

Half a teaspoon of turmeric

Half a teaspoon of coriander

Half a teaspoon of red chilli

Two finely chopped onions

Two finely chopped tomatoes

One teaspoon of garam masala

One teaspoon of cumin

One teaspoon of black pepper

Four to five green chillies

Two bay leaves

Two to three big cardamoms

1 to 2 cinnamon sticks

Three tablespoons of ghee

Salt according to taste

Method of making Veg Biryani:

First of all, soak the rice in water for half an hour. Finely chop all the vegetables. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. When the ghee is hot, add the seasoning of bay leaves, big cardamom, cumin and black pepper. After the seasoning crackles, cook the finely chopped onions for 2 to 3 minutes. Add all the vegetables and mix well. When the vegetable is fried properly, then add all the spices and stir.

At last add washed rice and stir for 2 to 3 minutes. Cut green chillies into long pieces and add them. Add salt as per taste. Let it whistle once or twice and then turn off the gas.
