ICC Champions Trophy 2025: The last ICC Champions Trophy was played in the year 2017 and in that Pakistan cricket team won the trophy by defeating India in the final match. The 9th edition of the ICC Champions Trophy is to be played next year.

The Champions Trophy 2025 is to be played under the hosting of Pakistan and 7 teams have agreed to participate in it. But the beloved team of India is still doing drama, so let’s know what the whole matter is.

India’s special team started the drama

Actually, the responsibility of hosting the Champions Trophy 2025 has been handed over to the Pakistan Cricket Board. But the Indian team has flatly refused to go to Pakistan. India says that Team India will play only if the Champions Trophy is held on a hybrid model. But Pakistan says that the Champions Trophy will not be held on a hybrid model, if India wants to play then it will have to come to Pakistan.

An ICC meeting was held yesterday regarding this and during this ICC meeting, out of all the eight teams participating in the Champions Trophy 2025, 7 teams have agreed to the hybrid model. But Pakistan is still being adamant. Pakistan says that we will not go on the hybrid model. Amidst all this, a report has come out and according to that report, the International Cricket Council i.e. ICC has threatened the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Pakistan Board receives Ultimatum

According to media reports, ICC says that if Pakistan Cricket Board agrees to the hybrid model then it will be fine. Otherwise the Champions Trophy will be completely shifted to another country. In such a situation, now it has to be seen when and where the Champions Trophy 2025 is organized.

It is known that apart from India-Pakistan, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan, England and Bangladesh will participate in the Champions Trophy 2025. If for any reason Pakistan is out of this tournament, then Sri Lanka will get a chance in its place.
