Alex Hales record: Alex Hales made history in the International League T20 2025 (ILT20) being played in Dubai. In the 13th match of the tournament between Desert Vipers and Dubai Capitals, Hales batted brilliantly and set a record that has stunned world cricket. Playing for Desert Vipers, Hales scored 34 runs off 31 balls in the match against Dubai Capitals, hitting two fours and two sixes. With this, Hales achieved a remarkable feat: he became only the second cricketer in the world to hit 2000 boundaries in T20 cricket.

Alex Hales Sets Record in T20 Cricket

Alex Hales now holds the record for hitting 2001 boundaries in T20 cricket. Chris Gayle remains the record-holder with 2188 boundaries, including 1056 sixes and 1132 fours. Hales has hit 540 sixes and 1461 fours in T20 cricket, making him one of the top players in this category.

Hales also holds the world record for the most fours in T20 cricket with 1461 fours. Over his 486-match career, Hales has made significant strides in the T20 format.

Vipers Suffer First Loss in ILT20

Despite Hales’ brilliant record, his team, Desert Vipers, faced their first loss in the ILT20 2025. The Vipers managed only 139 runs in their innings. In response, the Dubai Capitals chased down the target, with Afghan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib playing an unbeaten 78-run knock from 51 balls. The Capitals won by 6 wickets. It is worth noting that Hales has stepped away from international cricket, focusing on his career in various T20 leagues.
