New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has released the new contract list of women cricketers for the year 2024-25. This time the BCCI has announced to give annual central contracts to 16 women players of Team India. The BCCI has divided the central contract list of women cricketers into three categories. Out of 16 players, 3 have been placed in Grade A. Whereas, 4 players have managed to make their place in Grade B. Apart from these, 9 players have been given place in Grade C. This contract is from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.

BCCI has given place to Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma in Grade A category apart from captain Harmanpreet. Whereas 4 players have got place in Grade B. These 4 players are Renuka Thakur, Jemima Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and Shefali Verma. Apart from these, Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Uma Chhetri, Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar have been placed in Grade C. The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced this through a press release.

According to media reports, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma included in Grade A will get Rs 50 lakh each. Whereas, Renuka Thakur, Jemima Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and Shefali Verma will be given Rs 30 lakh each. Apart from these, all the 9 players included in Grade C will get Rs 10 lakh each per year. Last year also the same amount was given for all three grades.
Much less money than male players
Let us tell you, BCCI pays the same match fees to male and female players. But there is a huge difference in the central contract. There are four categories in the central contract list of male players, including Grade A Plus, players of this grade get Rs 7 crore. At the same time, players in Grade A category get Rs 5 crore, Grade B get Rs 3 crore and players in Grade C get Rs 1 crore annually.
