The India A team has been announced for the two-match Test series with Australia A from October 31. Ruturaj Gaikwad has been made the captain. While Ishan Kishan has returned to this team. Abhimanyu Easwaran has been made the vice-captain of the team.

India A has announced a 15-member squad. In which Sai Sudarshan has been included. Ishan has been included in the Indian team for the first time by the BCCI after being out of the board’s central contact. Ishan has also played Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy matches this season. He has scored a century in both tournaments. After which the BCCI has given Ishan a place in the India A team. If Ishan performs well in this series, then he can also be part of the Indian team for the Border-Gavaskar series.

Ishan Kishan was running out of Team India for a long time. Last season, ignoring domestic cricket had cost Ishan, after which the BCCI also terminated the central contract of this player. The only way for Ishan to return to the team was to perform brilliantly in domestic cricket. Although this time Ishan did so, from Buchi Babu and Duleep Trophy to Ranji, Ishan kept his hopes of returning to Team India alive by scoring century. Due to which Ishan has been selected in the India A team for the Australia tour.

BCCI have informed through their official Website, “India A will play two first-class matches against Australia A in Mackay and Melbourne respectively and then take part in a three-day intra-squad game against Team India (Senior Men) in Perth.”
