Young cricketers from Aurangabad have consistently brought pride to their district with outstanding performances across Bihar. Among them, Bipin Saurabh is currently making headlines. His inclusion in the 2025 IPL auction has sparked joy among his family and fans in the district. Known for his skills as a wicketkeeper-batsman, Bipin Saurabh has been scaling new heights since his selection in Bihar’s Under-19 team back in 2015.

Record-Breaking Performances in Domestic Cricket

Bipin Saurabh recently showcased his batting display in the Ranji Trophy held in Patna. Playing for Bihar against Madhya Pradesh, he smashed a quickfire half-century, scoring nearly 75 runs off just 25 balls. This incredible knock highlighted his aggressive style and cemented his reputation as a promising young talent in Indian domestic cricket.

Humble Beginnings and Passion for Cricket

Coming from a middle-class family, Bipin Saurabh’s journey has been challenging yet inspiring. His father, Santosh Kumar Singh, runs a private school, while his mother, Shivkumari Devi, is a homemaker. To support his cricket training, Bipin initially worked on the very ground where he practised. His dedication caught the eye of fitness trainer and throwdown specialist Ramashankar, who took him under his wing and started coaching him.

Learning from the Best

Bipin Saurabh’s cricket journey was not without difficulties, especially due to financial constraints. Despite this, Bipin’s strong passion for the game led his parents to fully support his cricket journey. After starting his cricket journey at the district level, Bipin moved to Patna, where he played for local clubs. He later trained at Delhi’s prestigious Vijay Dahiya Club and received coaching from several notable players.

From Ranji Trophy to IPL Aspirations

Bipin Saurabh’s remarkable batting skills have gained praise from cricket legends like VVS Laxman. He spent two years at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) from 2022 to 2023, where he honed his skills under the guidance of Laxman. As a wicketkeeper-batsman, Bipin’s base price for the IPL auction this year has been set at ₹30 lakh, making him a strong contender for the upcoming season.

As the 2024 IPL auction draws closer, Bipin Saurabh continues to inspire many, with his journey from Aurangabad to the IPL being an example of perseverance, passion, and dreams turning into reality.
