Pujara has a good record against Australia and was the highest run-scorer in the 2018-19 series. Pujara faced 1258 balls in that tour and scored a total of 521 runs. Three years later, Pujara once again proved to be the key for the India as he faced 928 balls and scored 271 runs in the series against Australia. Pujara has stood like a wall in front of Australia legends like Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc. Pujara last played for India in the World Test Championship (WTC) final last year. Since then he has not been a part of the Indian team.

He has more than 19 centuries, including memorable knocks like his 202-run innings against Australia in Ranchi (2017) and his pivotal performances during India’s historic 2020-21 series win in Australia.
