Amandeep Khare, who established himself as a dependable batsman for Chhattisgarh, has scored a double ton for his team in a Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra.
The Chhattisgarh vs. Saurashtra match became a talking point for Indian cricket fans for veteran cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara, who hit a double century for his state team in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. Pujara’s well-played 234 runs inning for 383 balls have overshadowed Amandeep Khare’s unbeaten 203 runs inning by playing 394 balls.
The match has ended with no winner or loser, as both teams tried their best to earn points from the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium. Though Saurashtra was ahead of Chhattisgarh in pen and paper. But Amandeep Khare, captain of the Chhattisgarh cricket team, and his boys played well enough to put 578/7d on the scoreboard. Experience bowler Jaydev Unadkat, captain of Saurashtra, failed to impress with the ball; his 24 overs with no wicket went for 77 runs and 4 maidens. The home team, with the help of Pujara’s mamath inning, scored 478/8 to end the match as a draw.
