The third Test match between India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ) is underway in the Wankhede stadium, Mumbai. For team India, the match is a prestigious fight, as they defeated in the past couple of Test matches by New Zealand with ease.

Ruling Ravindra, Shining Sundar

In the third match New Zealand batted first, struggled to get momentum at the beginning of their innings, all out for 232 runs in 65.4 overs. Two Indian spinners, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar did their jobs well to prevent the opponent from scoring a big run. Experience Ravindra Jadeja has taken five wickets. On the other hand Washington Sundar has taken 4 wickets. New Zealand’s batters find it difficult to play against this two bowlers.

Only Will Young and Daryl Mitchell tried their best to fight back against Jadeja and Sundar. Young has scored 71 of 138 balls, while Mitchell took 129 balls to score 82 runs. Young and Mitchell fall short against Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar respectively.

India made a poor start

India made a poor start after bowling out New Zealand for 235 on the first day of the third and final cricket Test on Friday and lost four wickets for 86 runs in the first innings at stumps. By the end of the day’s play, Shubman Gill 31 and wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant were present at the crease after scoring one run. Earlier, left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja took five wickets for 65 runs while off-spinner Washington Sundar took four wickets for 81 runs, which dismissed the New Zealand team in 65.4 overs.

First session of the first day

The first session of the first day of the third Test was named after India. New Zealand scored 92 runs at the loss of 3 wickets, two of these three successes were given to Washington Sundar and one wicket was named after Akash Deep. Ravindra Jadeja gave India the fourth success by dismissing Will Young (71) after the lunch break. In the 45th over, Jadeja also hunted Blundal. Jadeja then bowled Glenn Phillips in the 53rd over.
