The arrival of winter is imminent as temperatures are dropping. Sports fans have begun to assemble on the field to watch their preferred sport. Cricket and football are the most popular sports in Bengal. Between the start of the monsoon season and the end of December, different sports events are held in West Bengal.

From regional contests to local events, soccer players have opportunities to display their skills with the ball on the field. In Hooghly, a multi-team football competition took place in Serampore not long ago. Two out of the 18 teams successfully made it to the tournament’s final stage.

The last game saw a massive crowd surrounding the field, indicating the great affection for football among the people of West Bengal. The game took place at a normal community field without any stadium or modern amenities, where only natural talents were showcased on the grassy pitch. BS Park Club emerged as the winners with a 3-0 scoreline, leaving Navasamaj Sangha as the second-place team.

The final goal of the game, and also of the tournament, was definitely worth watching. The BS Park Club seemed more organized in the latter part of the game, connecting multiple passes to secure the championship. The opening half of the game finished goalless; both teams attempted to score, but to no avail. BS Park Club, the defending champions, regained their cohesion in the second half. They scored two goals rapidly to increase their chances of winning.
