South African pacer Kagiso Rabada made history on the first day of the Mirpur Test against Bangladesh on Monday. He did the feat of completing 300 wickets in Test cricket. Rabada cleaned up Mushfiqur Rahim and completed 300 wickets in the longest format of cricket. Rabada has become the bowler to take 300 wickets in the fewest balls in Tests. He has completed 300 wickets in 11817 balls.

Former Pakistan fast bowler Waqas Younis is in second place. He completed 300 wickets in 12602 balls in Tests. Former South African pacer Dale Steyn is third in this list. He had 300 dismissals in Tests in 12605 balls. Another South African legend Allan Donald is fourth in this list. Donald took 300 wickets in Tests in 13672 balls. Malcolm Marshall completed this feat in 13728 balls.

Kagiso Rabada is the third fastest bowler to complete 300 wickets in Tests from South Africa. Rabada achieved this feat in his 65th Test match, while Steyn achieved this feat in his 61st Test in 2013 and Donald in his 63rd Test in 2000.

Rabada’s performance in the current Test season has been spectacular so far. He took 8 wickets in two Tests against the West Indies in August. Rabada, who made his debut against India in 2015, has become one of the leading fast bowlers in Tests. One of his most notable achievements came during the fourth Test against England at Centurion in 2016, where he took 13 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls, in the first innings with figures of 7/112, making him the youngest South African to take a ten-wicket haul in a Test match.
