Team India’s young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has made history. He is now the first Indian player to score the most Test runs in a calendar year as a left-hander. With this, he now has 1135 runs in 2024. He is still batting, and his run tally is expected to increase further.

Currently, Yashasvi has hit the 9th half-century of his career, and India’s score has crossed 100. KL Rahul and Yashasvi are aiming to give India a big lead. This opening pair has scored 84 runs in the second session of Day 2. Batting conditions were tough on the first day in Perth, but they seem easier on the second day.

Earlier, the Indian team bowled out Australia for 104 runs in the second innings. On Day 2, Australian bowlers have failed to take any wickets.
