The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has implemented the new 10-point guidelines issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). No separate vehicle was arranged for any player to commute to and from Team India’s practice session at Eden Gardens Stadium on Sunday, January 19.

It is known that, following the disappointing performance during the Australia tour, the BCCI has introduced a new set of 10-point guidelines. These guidelines mandate that all players must be present at the stadium for the entire duration of practice sessions.
Indian Players Begin Preparations for England T20 Series
On Sunday evening, Team India practised at Eden Gardens in preparation for the first match of the five-match T20 series against England, scheduled for January 22. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami, returning to the team after 14 months, was the centre of attention during the session.
Shami Makes an Impactful Return
Shami bowled for approximately an hour during the three-hour practice session, wearing a bandage on his left knee. Captain Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and the rest of the team engaged in rigorous practice under the guidance of head coach Gautam Gambhir.

Team Seeks to Move On from Past Failures
The atmosphere at the practice session was notably relaxed, reflecting the team’s intent to move forward and leave behind the disappointment of the Test series in Australia. During the session, Sanju Samson and Hardik Pandya were seen in deep discussion with coach Gautam Gambhir for an extended period.
