IND vs NZ 2nd Test: Cricket fans have rarely seen Virat Kohli in such poor form. Virat, before the Border Gavaskar Trophy, became a cause to worry for team India. Cricket experts like Sanjay Manjrekar and Ravi Shastri showed no mercy to Virat in their comments.
The former Indian captain, Virat Kohli, has been out of touch in the Test format for a long time. Though he has managed to score some runs, half centuries, but those were not from a consistent bat, that’s why cricket fans and experts worried about his form before the Australia tour, where team India have to face a harder challenge.
Virat got out without scoring a single in the first inning of the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand. He bounced back and got a half century in the second inning. He again looked uncomfortable in the ongoing Pune test. The way Virat throws his wicket to Mitchell Santner has made cricket fans disappoint.
Manjrekar wrote on X after Kohli was out, “Oh dear! Virat himself will know that he has played the worst shot of his career. I can understand his state of mind because he always comes on the field with a strong and honest intention.”
Oh dear! Virat will know himself that he has just played the worst shot of his career to get out. Got to feel for him…coz as always he came out with solid & honest intent.

Former team India coach Ravi Shastri also spoke about Virat’s wicket: “Kohli could have made a similar ball full-toss and played it towards midwicket. This was an easy ball to hit because it was a full toss. But instead, Kohli went to play too much cross. He could have played it in the gap by playing it with a straight bat.”
