IND vs NZ: Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium surface become a nightmare for team India. Sub-continent batsmen, specially Indian batters mainly know for their ability to face spinning tracks well. Legendary Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and many others was know for their batting skills against spinners. India poorly defeated against New Zealand in the Bengaluru Test, first match of the ongoing series, have hope to make a comeback in Pune with the help of turning track.
Washington Sundar took 7 wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin’s 3-wicket haul enough for the host team to bundle the visitors at a total of 259 on scoreboard. India had a high chance to make a mammoth total in reply to New Zealand’s first innings score. But that did not happen as Rohit Sharma led team India able to put only 156 runs on display.

In the Bengaluru Test, where Team India only managed to score 46, now all wickets down to 156. Shubhman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and veteran Ravindra Jadeja had some notable runs to offer, there got 30, 30 and 38 runs respectively.
Why Indian batsmen fail prey to New Zealand’s bowlers, specially to Mitchell Santner, who took 7 wickets in his name. Glenn Phillips and Tim Southee have taken 2 and 1 wickets respectively? No need to say that Indian batsmen need to work more with their choices of short selection, technique and temperament.
It is a must win match for India, the host team as the have lost first match of the three match test series. If Gautam Gambhir’s team India want to turn the table, then they have no option but to win Pune Test. After the first innings, things looking not easy for India. New Zealand back to driver’s seat.
