Team India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s bat is on fire in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy these days. Very powerful shots are being seen from his bat. Pandya has now stated that he is happy with how things went for him in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) mega auction held recently in Jeddah, UAE. He mentioned that the franchise has found the ‘right mix’ of players. The star all-rounder also added that he had a clear plan to have a combination of young and experienced players.
Pandya said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians on social media, ‘I was in touch with the table (bidders) about who we are going to bid for and I think we did quite well in the auction and the team is looking good.’ He said, ‘We have found the right mix. We have Bolti (Trent Bolt) back, Deepak Chahar is also there and along with that there are young players like Bill Jacques, Robin Minj and Rickelton.’
Pandya’s Take on the Auction Process
Pandya said, “I think we did very well. We have paid attention to all the departments.” He admitted that the entire auction process is exciting but emphasized the importance of controlling emotions, especially when targeting a player the team desperately needs. He shared, “The dynamics of the auction are always difficult. When you are watching it live, it is very exciting, and emotions are always up and down because you want to add a player to your team.”
Controlling Emotions During the Auction
The Mumbai captain explained, “But sometimes you fall behind. So, it is very important that we do not get too emotional, because in the end, we have to make a complete team.”
