Star batsman Virat Kohli has become the first cricketer to hit 1000 fours in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 36-year-old Kohli needed just two fours to reach this milestone against Delhi Capitals, and he achieved it within the first four overs.

Kohli Scored 22 Runs Against Delhi
Virat Kohli scored 22 runs off 14 balls against Delhi Capitals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. He made a strong start, but the team’s momentum dropped after Phil Salt was dismissed for 37 off 17 balls.
Devdutt Padikkal also failed to contribute much and got out after scoring just 1 run from 8 balls. Kohli tried to reduce the pressure but lost his wicket in the process.
RCB Struggled Under Pressure
At one point, Royal Challengers Bangalore were 76/3, and the team was struggling to put up a decent total. Captain Rajat Patidar and Liam Livingstone couldn’t perform well either. However, Tim David stayed unbeaten and helped RCB cross 150 runs.
Delhi Capitals Stay Unbeaten
Delhi Capitals remain the only unbeaten team in IPL 2025. The Axar Patel-led side has won all 4 out of 4 matches so far. They are now placed second on the points table, just behind Gujarat.
