Jasprit Bumrah on Bed Rest Claim: Team India’s star fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, was injured during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy match against Australia and was advised to rest. Since then, there has been no clarity regarding his inclusion in the Champions Trophy squad due to the injury. Previously, he was ruled out of the T20 series against England, with Mohammed Shami replacing him in the squad. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah has made a big statement regarding the report about his bed rest.

Indian star pacer has dismissed reports claiming that he has been advised to rest ahead of the Champions Trophy. Earlier on Wednesday, Times of India (TOI) reported that Bumrah (Jasprit Bumrah Injury Updates) had been advised to rest at home, raising doubts about his participation in the Champions Trophy, scheduled to begin on February 19. The report also mentioned that Bumrah would need to report to the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru, but his check-in date could not be confirmed.

Bumrah Opens Up About Fake News

However, Bumrah has now addressed these claims, calling them fake news. “I know it’s easy to spread fake news, but this news made me laugh. The sources are unreliable,” Bumrah wrote on Instagram, adding some laughing emojis.

Bumrah played a starring role in the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy, taking 32 wickets in five matches at an impressive average of 13.06, including three five-wicket hauls and a best of 6 for 76. He was the highest wicket-taker of the series and broke several records, becoming the Indian with the most Test five-wicket hauls in SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia). He also surpassed Bishan Singh Bedi to become the Indian spinner with the most wickets in an overseas series.
