Another top order Indian batsman in-form in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. 31-year-old Chandigarh captain Manan Vohra has played captain’s knock to a much-needed win against Assam. Vohra have played two half-century innings for Chandigarh. He batted in two different positions in this match. Chandigarh outclassed Assam by a nine-wicket win.

Manan Vohra, a popular name in domestic cricket, finds his form in the Ranji Trophy. In the first inning, he batted as an opener and scored 59 by 129 balls. The experienced batter kept his head cool to avoid any inappropriate shots. Assam put pressure on Chandigarh at the beginning of the first inning by taking two wickets in 71 runs. Manan played an anchor role to provide stability, facing 129 balls with only four boundaries and a maximum, strike rate 45.74.

Assam put up 266 runs, batting first in the first inning of the match; in reply, Chandigarh scored 374. Captain Vohra and Raj Bawa played a crucial role. Raj hit a ton, 146 runs playing 164 balls. The young batter played in an aggressive manner; eight 4s and nine 6s had attracted his strike rate to 89.02.

Assam failed to make any positive intentions in the second innings; they have put only 185 runs on the scoreboard, giving Chandigarh a 78-run target to win the match. Manan came to bat at number 3 in the second inning and guided his team to a comfortable win; he scored unbeaten 51 runs in 50 balls.

Manan Vohra, the right-handed batsman known for his aggressive stroke play at the top of the order. He made his IPL debut in 2013 with Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), where he had a standout season, scoring key runs and forming a crucial part of the team’s batting lineup.

One of Vohra’s most memorable performances came in the 2014 IPL final when he scored 67 runs off 52 balls for Punjab, although his team ultimately lost to Kolkata Knight Riders. Over the years, he has also played for other franchises like the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals.
