There is a glimpse of hope at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Team India putting effort to take the harness of the match from New Zealand cricketers hand. Rohit Sharma put a fight against the opposition bowlers before Virat Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan came to bat on field. Virat got out at the last over of day three, though Sarfaraz remains on wickets with unbeaten 70 runs. Sarfaraz Khan impressed cricket lovers as well as cricket pundits with his exciting batting skills he showed during the second innings against NZ.

By stumps on the third day, he remained unbeaten on 70 off 78 balls with the help of seven fours and three sixes. He also shared a 136-run partnership for the third wicket with Virat Kohli, who scored 70 before being dismissed by Glenn Phillips at the end of the day’s play.

Sanjay Manjrekar said on ESPN Cricinfo, “He (Sarfaraz) reminds me of a Javed Miandad of the 1980s but this is a 2024 version of a Javed Miandad. Really impressed with the way he played. We know he plays spin well but I liked the way he played fast bowlers.”

On the fourth day of the Bengaluru Test, Team India and its fans have great expectations from Sarfaraz Khan. The reason for this is his fast-paced game shown on the third day of the Test match, where he remained unbeaten on 70 off 78 balls. According to Sarfaraz’s teammate Kuldeep Yadav, Sarfaraz Khan can live up to the expectations of India.

Manjrekar added, “And towards the end of the day’s play when he was looking to play defensively and wanting bad light when there was actually bright light. I loved the way he was ducking to bouncers, just trying to play the day out so he has that game as well and that augurs well for India and Sarfaraz Khan for Australia because he has shown that element of batting as well,”
