Junaid zafar khan: A tragic incident occurred during a cricket match being played in Adelaide, when Pakistani-origin Australian player Junaid Zafar Khan died on the field due to extreme heat. He died after suddenly falling to the ground due to extreme heat. The incident happened at 4am ACDT on Saturday at Concordia College Oval.
Death due to extreme heat
Junaid received treatment from the paramedics team. But the player still died. It was very hot at the time of the incident. The weather temperature was around 41 degrees. Junaid was playing cricket while fasting. However, after his health deteriorated, he drank water as per the rules. But still Junaid’s life could not be saved.
Statement issued after the incident
The Old Concordians Cricket Club has issued a statement after the incident, stating that we are deeply saddened by the passing of a valued member of the Old Concordians Cricket Club who tragically suffered a medical episode while playing at Concordia College Oval today. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he unfortunately did not survive. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.
Son Anjum also became emotional
Junaid Khan was about 40 years old. In 2013, he went to Australia to play cricket. He had been playing cricket in Adelaide for many years. After Junaid’s death, his friend Hasan Anjum also became emotional. He said that this is a great loss, great things were written in his life.
