Bangladesh legendary allrounder shakib al hasan achieved one more milestone in his sheer brilliant career. He has now surpassed daniel vettory record to become the highest wicket taker left hand spinner. Shakib Al Hasan had earlier become the first cricketer to 14,000 runs and 700 wickets in internationals.

The exponential growth of left-arm spinners must rank among the striking differences in international cricket between the 20th and 21st centuries. In only 23 years of this century, left-arm spinners have overhauled the aggregates of their predecessors from a hundred years between January 1901 and December 2000.

Many former cricket player often gave credit to shakib al hasan to led the left-arm spin tribe between the two contrasting periods in a nearly 17-year active career.

While bowling for the Bangladesh team against Pakistan last Sunday, he surpassed vettory record. He is now on 16th rank in the all-time list and remains the solitary bowler to record at least 100 T20I, 200 Test and 300 ODI wickets. Dissecting him by format, his efficacy barely takes a hit. Shakib stands fifth among all left-arm tweakers in Tests.

Recently he has also established a brilliant feat of becoming the first cricketer to hit 14000 runs and also take 700 wickets.

Shakib Al Hasan has been part of 103 victory of Bangladesh, which is almost double than the second Bangladesh cricket player.

But apart from these brilliant performance, he has also been in limelight for several controversy. Team has banned him many times because of his anger issue and inappropriate behaviour. But he remains the brilliant performer of the game.
