Before the Bangladesh test series, good news arrived for the Indian team. 3 Indian batters make their way in top ten batsmen in tests. Apart From Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli, young batting talent Yashashwi Jaiswal also included in the top test ranking.

Rohit slipped one step and got a spot at number 6, legendary batter Virat Kohli is on number 8 and jaiswal is on number 10.

Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s disastrous outings in the first Test vs Bangladesh at Rawalpindi last week means that he has been one of the biggest losers in the latest ICC Test Rankings for batters. Babar Azam has slipped from 3rd position on the table to 9th in the latest rankings.

England batsman Joe Root maintained his top seed, by making 64 against SriLanka in Manchester. Root’s teammate Harry Brook has made a massive jump on the back of scores of 56 and 32 during that Old Trafford contest. The 25-year-old, who was the vice-captain of the England team, has risen three places to fourth overall, leaping past Pakistan’s Babar Azam, Australia’s Steve Smith and Rohit.

India’s spin legend Ravichandran Ashwin maintained his first sport in bowling, two more Indian bowlers are in top ten. Jasprit Bumrah is on number 3 and Ravindra Jadeja is on number 7. England seamer Chris Woakes, who is up four runs to 16th, and Sri Lanka’s Asitha Fernando (up 10 spots to 17th) have gained some ground while Pakistan’s right-arm pacer Naseem Shah (up four spots to 33rd) and England’s Gus Atkinson (up four places to 42nd) have attained career-best ratings following good returns from their recent appearances.
