New Delhi: Before the start of IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans (GT) have found a new majority owner. Ahmedabad-based Torrent Group has acquired a 67% stake in the franchise. Previously, the team was entirely owned by Irelia Company Private Limited, managed by CVC Capital Partners. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has approved the financial transaction, completing the ownership transfer process.
In an official statement, Torrent Group confirmed, “All terms have been agreed upon, and we have successfully completed the acquisition process.” While Torrent Group now holds a majority stake (67%), Irelia Company still retains 33% ownership. The announcement of this deal was first made on February 12, 2025, and the entire process has now been finalized before the IPL season begins.
