Lockie Ferguson Hat-trick: Kiwie melody continues on 22 yards. After demolished India in three match test series, now New Zealand is showing their all-round performance in T20I cricket. Speed star Lockie Ferguson stepped up to take a hat-trick against Sri Lanka.

Lockie Ferguson bowled only two overs during the second match of the two-match series T20I series against Sri Lanka in Dambulla and completed his hat-trick. His two overs later proved enough for them to turn the table. Lockie took three wickets in two overs only for seven runs.

New Zealand, having lost the first match of the series in the island country, was devastated to win the remaining match. The surface was not easy to bat. SL won the toss and invited NZ to bat first. Mitchell Santner led New Zealand to score only 108 runs in 19.3 overs, losing all ten wickets.

On the other hand, Sri Lankan openar Pathum Nissanka, who scored 52 of 51 balls, failed to guide his team to victory. SL’s third, fourth, and fifth-position batsman was defenceless against Ferguson. Lockie Ferguson dismissed Kusal Perera on the last ball of the sixth over of Sri Lanka’s innings. And then Kusal Mendis on the first ball of the eighth over and captain Charith Asalanka on the second ball sent the pavilion to the duck as well as took a hat-trick. In this way he became the 5th bowler from New Zealand to take a hat-trick in T20I cricket. Earlier, Jacob Oram, Tim Southee (2 times), Michael Bracewell and Matt Henry achieved this feat.
