The first match is scheduled for March 22, accompanied by a grand opening ceremony featuring Bollywood performances. However, before the tournament even begins, the spotlight is on 13-year-old cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Who is Vaibhav Suryavanshi?
Despite being just 13 years old, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has already impressed cricket experts with his fearless batting against top bowlers. Rajasthan Royals placed their trust in this young talent by signing him for a whopping ₹1.10 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction. His exceptional batting skills have made him a viral sensation, with a practice video showcasing his ability to hit massive sixes.
During training, Vaibhav effortlessly smashed towering sixes, leaving batting coach Vikram Rathour astonished. While securing a spot in the playing XI might be challenging for the youngster, there is a possibility that he could get a few opportunities in IPL 2025.
Vaibhav’s Cricket Journey So Far
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has played only one T20 match in his career, where he scored 13 runs off six balls, including two sixes. He has also featured in five first-class matches, scoring 100 runs, and in six List A matches, where he amassed 132 runs.
