IPL is still a few months away, but teams have started brainstorming ahead of the mega auction. The BCCI now announced a retention policy. According to it now every team can retain 5 players along with a right to match player.
It is noticeable that many teams will find it hard to build a good team, because they can only retain 5 players and now, they will lose the combination.
BCCI recently called for an all-team meeting in mumbai, in which the team’s owner produced a different view on thi retention policy. Few owners were in support of 5 player retention policy, but few were against it.
