Delhi Metro: The work of Metro Phase 4 in the capital Delhi is going on at a war footing. In this episode, a tunnel was prepared between Chhatarpur temple and IGNOU on 25 February. Now on Tuesday, the work of constructing a tunnel on the deepest underground part on the IGNOU station site from the Chhatarpur temple of Aerocity- Tughlakabad Corridor has also been completed. This tunnel at a depth of 27 meters is considered one of the deepest tunnels of Delhi Metro.

On this occasion, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta congratulated the people of Delhi during a conversation with the media and said that this is a proud moment for the residents of Delhi as well as Delhi. During this, Anuj Dayal, Principal Director of Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and DMRC Corporate Communication was also present. In a conversation with the media, Anuj Dayal said that the work of another parallel tunnel between Chhatarpur temple and IGNOU was completed on 25 February. Now the challenging work of this tunnel has also been completed on Tuesday. The construction work of both up and down parts has been completed here.

6 lines will be constructed in Phase 4

Under the fourth phase, a total of 6 lines will be constructed, which will cover a distance of 112.42 km. Under this, about 65 km long network will be built between Majlis Park to Maujpur, Janakpuri to Ashram Marg and Aerocity to Tughlakabad, whose 60% work has been completed. The remaining work will also be completed soon. The operation of the Magenta Line has started on January 5 between Janakpuri West to Krishna Park Extension. Apart from this, two more lines- Lajpat Nagar to Saket and Indralok to Indraprastha is also being worked on.

Both the up and down parts of the tunnel are now complete.

Under Metro Phase 4,

Under Metro Phase 4, six lines will be constructed, covering a total distance of 112.42 km. The work on a 65 km network, including stretches between Majlis Park to Maujpur, Janakpuri to Ashram Marg, and Aerocity to Tughlakabad, is 60% complete. The Magenta Line between Janakpuri West to Krishna Park Extension started operating on January 5, and two other lines—Lajpat Nagar to Saket and Indralok to Indraprastha—are also under construction.
