Haryana Roadways: Good news for the people of Haryana. 5300 buses will be included in the fleet of Haryana Roadways. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya said that the government will increase the number of buses in the state transport fleet from 4 thousand to 5300.
The Governor was addressing the House on the first day of the budget session of the 15th Legislative Assembly which started on Friday. Through the address, the Governor also counted the achievements of the Saini government so far and also presented the roadmap of the government in various fields.

The Governor said that till now there are 4000 buses in the government fleet, these will be increased to 5300. Emphasizing on running electric buses for long distance in Delhi-NCR region, the Governor said that after experimenting with city bus service in Gurugram and Faridabad, city bus service has been started in Yamunanagar, Panipat, Karnal and Panchkula.

Very soon it will be expanded to other cities of the state. The Governor said that under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the construction of 2447 KM long roads has been completed at a cost of Rs 1068 crore. The construction of 49 KM long roads is ongoing.
Announcing speeding up the construction
Announcing speeding up the construction of Rithala to Kundli Metro Corridor, the Governor said that the length of this corridor to be built at a cost of Rs 6230 crore will be 26 km while 21 stations will be built. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone of this project.
Similarly, the work of Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor Project to be built from Prithala of Palwal to Sonipat at a cost of Rs 5618 crore is also going on at a fast pace.
