Haryana IIT: Haryana residents can get another big gift. The state government (Haryana Govt) is planning to establish the state’s first Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). For this, after receiving instructions from the Directorate of Institute and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the Department of Technical Education has started preparations.
According to the information received, the Director of Technical Education has written a letter to all the DCs of the state demanding land. According to media reports, there is a problem of land acquisition in this process. For this reason, the government has laid down the condition of acquiring 300 acres of land.
Lobbying intensified among MPs
The central and state governments will decide to start the project on the identified land. After this, this project will get the green signal. Haryana BJP MPs are lobbying to bring this project to their area.
Everyone wants IIT to be established in their parliamentary constituency, so that local youth can benefit. At present, there are 3 Union Ministers from Haryana – Manohar Lal from Karnal, Rao Inderjit Singh from Gurugram and Krishan Pal Gurjar from Faridabad. In such a situation, it is being speculated that IIT can be established in one of these three districts.
Leaders from Bhiwani and Hisar also gathered
After the condition of 300 acres of land acquisition by the government, Chaudhary Dharmveer Singh, MP from Bhiwani- Mahendragarh Lok Sabha seat, is trying to bring this institute to his area. At the same time, PWD Minister Ranbir Gangwa from Hisar is also trying to get it established in his area. Apart from this, the staff of Guru Daksh Government Polytechnic has also met Cabinet Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa to get IIT established in the city.
