Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 software testing begins, Know the updates and expectations

One UI 7.0.1

The first software build for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (SM-F966U) has been spotted on Samsung’s servers. The firmware version of this build is F966USQU0AYB3, and it could be based on Android 15 (One UI 7.x). Usually, Samsung launches its foldable phones with One UI x.1.1 version. But this time the company may skip One UI 7.1.1, as the stable One UI 7.0 update for existing phones is getting delayed.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 Special

We can see some big upgrades in the Galaxy Z Fold 7. According to reports, the screen aspect ratio of this phone can be like the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. This means that it can have a larger screen (6.5-inch cover and 8-inch foldable) than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, on which the folding crease will be barely visible. However, some reports also say that this phone may not have S Pen support.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 Specifications

Now talking about the features available in it, there is a lot of discussion about the specifications of Galaxy Z Fold 7. This phone can be only 10mm thick and it can have 45W fast charging support with a 4,400mAh battery. In the camera section, it can have a 200MP primary camera, an ultrawide camera, and a telephoto camera.

As a processor, it can use Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Also, it can have at least 16GB of RAM and 256GB or more internal storage. Apart from this, features like IP68 rating, stereo speakers, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor can also be found in it.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 launch date

So far, Samsung has not shared any official information about the launch date of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. However, if the company follows its previous trend, we can see it launching in August 2025. At present, all the information that has come out about this phone is based on leaks and reports. Therefore, it would not be right to trust it completely.
