Vivo V50 vs Vivo V40: Which smartphone will be better

Vivo has recently launched its new Vivo V50 smartphone, which is a direct upgrade of the Vivo V40 that was launched in July last year. In terms of performance, both Vivo V50 and Vivo V40 have Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, so there will be no significant difference in processing power. Vivo V50 has the option of 12GB RAM and 128GB storage, as well as expandable storage option. At the same time, the base variant of Vivo V40 comes with only 8GB RAM.

Apart from this, Vivo V50 gets Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, while Vivo V40 was launched with Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14. However, it can be upgraded to Android 15 later.

In terms of battery, the Vivo V50 is more powerful, as it has a bigger 6,000mAh battery, while the Vivo V40 had a 5,500mAh battery. The charging speed has also improved slightly, as the Vivo V50 has 90W fast charging support, while the Vivo V40 had 80W charging.

If we talk about the price, the base variants of Vivo V50 and Vivo V40 are priced at Rs 34,999. However, the top variant of Vivo V50 is available for Rs 40,999, while the top variant of Vivo V40 was Rs 41,999. That is, the top model of Vivo V50 is cheaper, while it is also more upgraded in terms of features.
