The Maruti Suzuki Brezza, a popular name in the Indian subcompact SUV segment, has received a significant makeover in 2023. The new Brezza, aptly dubbed as “The All-New Hot and Techy Brezza,” sheds its previous skin and emerges with a bolder design, upgraded features, and a focus on technology, aiming to stay ahead in the ever-evolving market.

Design that Turns Heads:

The first glimpse of the new Brezza reveals a complete transformation. Gone is the familiar silhouette; instead, a bold, masculine stance with geometric fenders and a dynamic grille grabs attention. The sleek LED headlamps and taillights, along with the option for dual-tone color schemes, add a touch of modernity. The shark-fin antenna and stylish alloy wheels further enhance the sporty appeal.

Stepping Inside the Tech Zone:

The interior of the new Brezza undergoes a similar metamorphosis. The cabin boasts a premium feel with high-quality materials and a clutter-free layout. The centerpiece is the large, 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, offering wireless connectivity and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The system integrates with Suzuki Connect, providing real-time traffic updates, remote vehicle access, and other connected features.

Safety First:

Safety remains a top priority, with the new Brezza equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, and other essential features across all variants. Additionally, higher trims offer a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, and hill-hold assist for added peace of mind.

Performance and Efficiency:

Under the hood, the new Brezza retains the familiar 1.5-liter K12C petrol engine, now equipped with mild-hybrid technology for improved fuel efficiency. The engine produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. While not the most powerful option, the Brezza prioritizes fuel economy, delivering an impressive mileage of 20.15 km/l for manual and 19.80 km/l for automatic variants.

The Verdict: A Hot Contender in a Fiery Segment:

The new Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a bold step forward, offering a compelling combination of style, technology, and practicality. The upgraded features, particularly the connected car tech and improved safety, make it a strong competitor in the subcompact SUV segment. While the engine lacks the punch of some rivals, its fuel efficiency and affordability are likely to resonate with Indian buyers. Whether it can dethrone established players like the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue remains to be seen, but the “Hot and Techy” Brezza is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with.
