Ampere’s two electric scooters have become so cheap, know their details

Ampere Electric Scooter: After launching its Nexus electric scooter in the Indian market, Ampere has decided to cut the prices of some of its older models to make them more affordable for customers. The company has made a huge price cut of Rs 10,000 on the Rio Li Plus, Magnus LT and Magnus EX.

The Magnus is available in two variants; LT and Magnus EX, whose new prices now stand at Rs 84,900 and Rs 94,900 respectively after the cut. It is equipped with a 60V/28Ah battery pack and gets an ARAI certified range of 84 km per charge and has a top speed of 50 kmph.

Ampere Rio Li Plus

Along with this, Ampere has also made a huge price cut on the Rio Li Plus, which is now available at just Rs 59,900 ex-showroom. The Rio Le Plus is available in only one variant in the market and is primarily designed for low speeds and short distances within the city. It has a 1.3kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is a removable battery pack. This battery pack is capable of giving the scooter a range of 70 km. The Rio Le Plus has a stated maximum speed of 25 kmph and falls in the low-speed e-scooter segment.

Who does it compete with?

The Ampere Magnus electric scooter competes with the Ola S1X, which is available in four variants, all of which have a 2.7kW motor with a maximum power output of 6kW. It has 3 battery pack options including 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh. The Ola S1X 2kWh has a maximum speed of 85 kmph. The 2kWh variant has an ARAI-certified range of 95 km. The S1X 3kWh, 4kWh and S1X+ have a maximum speed of 90 kmph and a range of 143 km, 190 km and 151 km respectively.
