Driving license

While driving on the road, it is very important for the driver to have a driving license. Under the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, a person driving a vehicle is required to have a valid driving license. This document proves the age, nationality and other matters of the driver on the road. If you go by driving to any other state of the country, then it is necessary for you to have a driving license. Also, in case of any accident, it is necessary to have a driving license, otherwise the insurance claim is not available.

Registration certificate

Registration certificate is the proof of who owns the car and where and in which RTO it is registered. Registration certificate is also required while making a car insurance claim. The registration certificate contains the car number, chassis number, address of the owner, year of production, expiry date and engine number.

Third party insurance

To drive a car on the country’s roads, it is necessary that you have third party insurance for the car. This policy provides third party insurance cover under the Motor Vehicles Rules 1988. Financial protection is provided if a third party or individual suffers loss in a road accident.

Pollution control certificate

Pollution Control Certificate i.e. PUC gives proof of how much carbon is being emitted from the vehicle. Pollution emitted from vehicles affects climate change to a great extent. PUC is a certification to determine that the car is emitting carbon as per the prescribed standards. If the car emits more carbon than the prescribed limit, a fine is imposed against the car owner.
