Electric scooters : The demand for electric scooters is continuously increasing in the Indian market. Many companies including Ola Ather offer their products in this segment. Which company has sold the most electric scooters in the country during April 2024. Which companies have made their place in the top-5. Let’s know.

Ola Electric

Ola Electric, the country’s largest electric scooter manufacturer, has also sold the most scooters in April 2024. The company has sold a total of 33963 units last month. Whereas in the same period last year, the company had sold only 22068 units.

TVS Electric

TVS offers the iQube series in this segment. Last month, the company has registered a decline of about 12 percent in terms of sales. A total of 7675 units have been sold in April 2024. Whereas earlier in April 2023, the company had sold 8758 units.

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj, the country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, also offers Chetak in the electric scooter segment. The company has sold 7529 units in April 2024, which is a strong growth. Whereas on a year-on-year basis, the company has sold 493 units in April 2023.

Ather Energy 

Bengaluru-based startup Ather has also sold 4062 units across the country last month. Whereas in April 2024 this number was 7802 units.

Greaves Electric

Greaves Electric stood at number 5. The company has sold 2511 units in April 2024. On a year-on-year basis, the company sold only 551 units in April 2023.

How was the performance of other companies

Apart from the top-5, Gujarat-based company Wardwizard also performed well and sold 1205 units in April 2024. This was followed by Hero MotoCorp selling 947 units. Shema EV stood at number 8 with 819 units. Revolt was at the 9th spot with 743 units and BGAUSS was at the last spot with 711 units.
