Honda has introduced Honda City hatchback. This car has currently been introduced in Thailand and the sale of this car will start there first. The company has introduced the hatchback version of City after a long time. The launch date of this car has not been decided in India.

How different is the hatchback from the Honda City sedan?

Honda City hatchback is based on the same platform as the sedan. Almost all the body panels of the car have been taken from the sedan. The car has a blacked out grill and dark chrome finish for a sporty look. Apart from this, the car comes with 16 inch alloy wheels. The interior of the car is almost like the city sedan, no significant changes are seen in it.

City hatchback: engine and power

This car has a 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine which generates 122hp power. CVT gearbox is provided with this engine. The company can offer this car with different engines in different markets. The Honda City sedan launched some time ago has a 1.5L i-VTEC engine and is available in both 6 speed manual gearbox and CVT options.

The engine generates 121PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 145Nm of peak torque at 4,300 rpm. The manual variant of the new Honda City with petrol engine will give a mileage of 17.8 kilometers per liter. The company claims that the CVT variant will give a mileage of 18.4 kilometers per liter.
