lok sabha election Result: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is facing a massive blow in the electoral fray in Uttar Pradesh. As per the latest trends, BJP candidates have fallen behind on 33 seats, while the Samajwadi Party (SP) in the ‘India’ alliance is leading on 35 seats, and ally Congress has moved ahead on seven seats.

If these trends continue, it could be tough for the BJP and the NDA as compared to the last Lok Sabha elections. Along with this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also made a prediction for the BJP in UP. He had predicted a ‘humiliating defeat’ for the BJP in a public rally in Amroha on April 20.

Signs of political change: Uttar Pradesh’s electoral battles

In Uttar Pradesh, which elects 80 seats to the Lok Sabha, the alliance of the Samajwadi Party and the Congress is providing strong competition to the BJP. While the BJP has 33 seats, which is less than the 62 seats last time, the Samajwadi Party is close behind with 35 seats. According to the trends of the Election Commission, Congress, which won one seat in the last election, can win seven seats this time.

Rahul Gandhi’s prediction and the BJP’s concern

These trends have become a matter of concern for the BJP. In the last Lok Sabha election, the ruling party of the Centre won 303 seats on its own, while Congress was reduced to 52 seats. In this election, there is a danger of the BJP losing more than this.
