The demand for luxury cars has also increased in the Indian market. During April 2024, sales of 2766 units of luxury vehicles have been recorded across the country. Whereas according to the report, 2305 units were sold across the country in the month of April last year. The report gives information about the sales of vehicle manufacturing companies like Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Land Rover Jaguar and Volvo.
How were Mercedes sales?
Last month, the maximum number of luxury cars sold across the country was from Mercedes-Benz. According to FADA report, 1522 units of Mercedes-Benz have been sold across the country. Whereas in the month of April last year, only 1238 units of the company were sold across the country.
BMW was also in demand
Apart from Mercedes, BMW cars were also in demand across the country. The company sold the highest number of vehicles after Mercedes. According to the report, BMW has sold 1185 units across the country during April 2024. Whereas on year-on-year basis, the company had sold 923 units in the month of April last year.
How many Jaguar Land Rovers were sold?
There was also demand for luxury cars and SUVs from Tata-owned Jaguar and Land Rover in April. The company has sold 256 units in the Indian market during April 2024. Whereas in the same period last year, the company had sold 170 units.
How many sales did Volvo make?
Swedish luxury car manufacturer Volvo also sells its cars in the Indian market. According to the FADA report, the company has sold 139 units of its cars in India during April 2024. Whereas in the month of April last year, the company had sold 158 units across the country.
How did Audi fare?
Like other European automakers, Audi also sells its luxury cars in the Indian market. According to the report, Audi has sold 44 vehicles in India during April 2024. During February 2023, the company had sold 150 units.
