Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG: The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is the first Maruti Suzuki car to be offered with this new engine in India. This powertrain is available with a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional 5-speed AMT. The new Swift is currently priced at Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom), while the CNG variant is expected to be around Rs 90 thousand to Rs 95 thousand more expensive than the corresponding petrol variant.
CNG version coming soon
Like all other Maruti Suzuki Arena cars, the Swift will also get a CNG option soon, making it the first CNG-based car with the new engine as well. The petrol-CNG powertrain will have slightly lower power and torque outputs in CNG mode and will likely be available only with a manual transmission.
Price
The new Swift is currently priced at Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom), while the CNG variant is expected to be around Rs 90 thousand to Rs 95 thousand more expensive than the corresponding petrol variant. It remains to be seen which variants will be offered with the CNG powertrain.
Mileage
The mileage of the new Swift is 24.8 KMPL with a manual gearbox, while with an automatic transmission it gives a mileage of 25.75 KMPL. Swift CNG is expected to get more than 32km/kg mileage. In the Indian market, it will compete directly with hatchbacks like Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago.
