New Gen BMW M5: BMW M5 is all set to come in a new avatar soon. The auto company’s M Performance division recently released a new teaser video, giving us a glimpse of the upcoming next-generation BMW M5 sedan through design sketches. Let us know about it.
New generation BMW M5 teaser
The teaser video reveals that the upcoming new generation BMW M5 performance sedan will come with raised fenders in typical M styling fashion. The fenders appear wider than those of the regular BMW 5 Series sedan. Additionally, the new M5 also gets cabin fiber side mirror caps. It will come with a copper paint job as well as several regular and exclusive exterior color options.
The new BMW M5 is internally codenamed G90 and may come with relatively normal-sized kidney grilles. The shape of the sedan reminds us of the BMW 3.0 CSL but the grille design is flat as it does not extend downwards like the coupe.
The BMW M5 has only been teased through design sketches, which means the car will undergo a number of changes before being revealed, as the teaser doesn’t show us a fully indicative production design.
Engine and Performance
Mechanically, the upcoming BMW M5 is not sure to come as a plug-in hybrid, as the teaser does not show any charging port on the front fender. It is expected to come with the powertrain of the BMW. Which will have a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack.
