The bike seen during testing may have covers. But, the main frame and subframe are clearly visible and point to the huge structure of the Himalayan 450.
What features will be available
The forged steel side stand is also not visible in this. The bike has been given RSU telescopic front forks with gaiters and roadster-style handlebars, which enhance its street identity. Single piece seat and alloy wheels are also seen in it. It will be given a different fuel tank than Himalayan. It will be given disc brakes with dual channel ABS. The radiator grille looks different from the initial prototype.
Engine
It will get Sherpa 450 engine, this is Royal Enfield’s first engine with features like DOHC 4V head and liquid cooling. This engine gives 40 PS and 40 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch and ride-by-wire throttle. The bike is expected to be priced at Rs 2.5 lakh.
