Dhoni and Lakshmi Rai: What was the real story?
Bhaiya, it is about 2008-2009. At that time, rumours were circulating that our Mahi, i.e., Mahendra Singh Dhoni, was having an affair with the well-known actress and beauty queen Lakshmi Rai. Both were often seen together. Both were seen together at IPL parties, and their pairing was perfect in other settings as well.
Once, Dhoni even attended Lakshmi Rai’s birthday party with his best friend and Chennai Super Kings teammate, Suresh Raina. Now, when so much was happening, it was natural for people to talk.
But the twist in the story came when, in 2014, Laxmi Rai said in an interview, “Now I feel that my relationship with Dhoni is like a stain that will probably never go away.” She also said that five years had passed since their breakup, yet people continued to talk about it, which surprised her.
